I was turning my clocks back a few weeks ago, and dreaming about that extra hour of sleep when I looked at the plants next to the clock I was changing. Plastic. Really nice IKEA plants. But still plastic.
I don’t think anyone is ever going to do a blog on the wonder and beauty that plastic plants add to their Boho home.
Honestly, I feel bad about having plastic plants sometimes. I have a few real ones struggling to live by a window, but most of mine are fake. I like the color green and I like how they look.
We are surrounded by beautiful things on the internet. Beautiful blogs and instagram spaces and all the rest.
And we look at those and then at our grubby kids, grungy house and junky van and feel like perhaps something is lacking.
Inspiration is one thing. Dissatisfaction based on the photoshopped life of someone else is another.
Sweet friends, here’s beauty in our mess. And plastic works just as well as the real thing..with less water stains.
Because perfection is not our goal. Neither is beauty.
Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Kindness. Gentleness. Goodness. Faithfulness. Self-control. These are the things we are called to aspire to.
Embrace your life. Embrace your life. Your home. Your job and side hustles. Embrace with gratitude your world and “Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life. Let your eyes look directly ahead
And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you.” Proverbs 4:23, 25 NASB
Praying that you will enter this first week of December with gratitude, rejoicing in the life that God has given you, with all its crazy mess ♥.
P.S. We have a NEW December download releasing in 2 days!!! And if you haven’t gotten that Jesse tree out yet, you’ll love this download!
