Some mornings I wake up my brain by spending my time online, basking in the glow of the beautiful things others have created. And it’s fun, but when I do something happens.
I looooove what those folks did/created/showed/are. I feel smitten with the newest recipe/decor/clothing/hair/makeup.
And then I unplug and come back to my slightly grubby reality, and honestly, it can be a little bit of a letdown.
Ok, it’s a big letdown. Because I’m here eating toaster waffles, drinking reheated coffee I forgot in the microwave yesterday, trying to convince myself that we will actually complete everything I’ve set out for us today.
I love my kids, my home, my husband and my life, but I forget a little bit how amazing they are in the bright light of social networks.
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” Ephesians 5:8 NKJV
When we were without Him, we were in darkness. Now we are light.
No in-between. No Insta-fantastic or failure. Just light.
Because He is light. And His Spirit lives in us. Guiding us. Teaching us. Comforting us.
This is real life. Soul life. Life from the One who knows every star by name.
Your life, toaster waffles, re-heated coffee and all, is headed somewhere. Somewhere amazing. Eternal. And you are bringing that life, that light, into the dark, hopeless world with every ordinary step you take.
Praying that you will shine bright this week, knowing that you are light because you are His ♥
